Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She's co-founder as well as director of Thrive Global, as well as the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington, an independently-owned liberal news outlet, is a television personality, author, and charity donor. Born in Greece and immigrated to England at age 16. In Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in Economics. In the beginning, as the only non-English student to graduate, she was voted as president of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. Following the graduation ceremony, she was an important conservative journalist who was syndicated. After a few years later she created The Huffington Post which featured critiques of the current politics. Her popularity led to the recruitment of a number of well-known contributors to post their perspectives about politics, news as well as culture. Arianna was famous during 2003 when she ran independently in a recall campaign in California to succeed the governor at the time, Davis. In addition, she was the leader of an Detroit project to promote energy efficient vehicles. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as one of the most influential women in media. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post, and she became president of this group of media. This included many AOL properties of the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Parents were Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. They were a management consultant as well as a journalist. The couple was close to her father. In her 16th year, she began studying within the United Kingdom at Girton College Cambridge. In her college years she was a member of Cambridge Union. After the graduation ceremony, she worked as an anchor on television and a columnist. She also appeared together with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started creating books with the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
