Anna Paquin was born in the city of Winnipeg, but was raised in Wellington. She made her acting debut as Flora McGrath in The romantic-drama film The Piano. Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. She was born in Winnipeg but brought up in Wellington the city where she was born, she made her first acting appearance as a character in The Piano. In this romance film, at the age of 11 years old, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. Anna Paquin's full name was Anna Helene Paquin. The role she played as the talkative and inquisitive character Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) was the reason she won the prize.
