Lynda Carter

 Carter was born in Phoenix (Arizona) as the daughter of Juanita Cordova and Colby Carter. Her father is English as well as Scots Irish Her ancestry is Scots Irish and English and her mother is Mexican and Spanish. A brother named Vincent and a sister, Pamela, are her siblings. Carter has made her television debut on Lew King's Talent Show at age 5. In high school, Carter joined a group known as Just Us. The group performed conga drum and marimba. They also played an acoustic guitar and a stand up bass, that was played by another band member. Lynda started singing at a local pizzeria when she was 15. [8] She joined her cousins, The Relatives, when she was 16. Gary Burghoff, actor, was the drummer of The band. The band first performed in Las Vegas at the Sahara Hotel and Casino Lounge. Carter was 21 years old when she was seated in the kitchen. She was voted "Most talented" and decided to move into music. Carter auditioned in 1970 and sang on the tour of The Garfin Gathering's bandleader Howard (Speedy), Garfin. Their first performance was held at the Holiday Inn Chinatown in San Francisco and was so new , it didn't even have a sidewalk entrance. The hotel staff and hotel guests had their cars parked in the garage underground, which meant that they were performing to the hotel's guests. The Garfin Gathering toured the Nevada "Silver Circuit" performing shows in most of Nevada's casinos and lounges, which were situated between Lake Tahoe, Carson City, Reno, and Las Vegas. Carter was forced to leave the Garfin Gathering for acting, after which she returned to Arizona in 1972.
